In a beautiful dance class the other day the instructor had us working in a place of fluidity. She reminded us we are made up of more than 70% water, therefore water is literally “life!” She also reminded us, “Water Does Not Resist.” What a beautiful illustration!

When we allow ourselves to flow through life like “water” we cannot resist, rather we go around, build up and go over, divert to come back together again and erode away as needed. The beauty of water is the power comes from the diversity within the molecules, not the shear force. As a human we have the absolute capability of flowing through life in the same context, given practice and awareness.

As I close my eyes, connecting with my body, my heart reminds me of the rhythm of life. One beat at a time, adjusting as needed, telling me important messages along the way. Within this vessel we walk, so many answers float, if only our ears could become more attuned to the nature of our soul. Today, I listen with peace, leaving behind resistance.
