Capitulating Pilgrimage
(Inspired by David White)

Take hold! Release…
Run. Slow. Repeat
Observe left. Observe right
Never to return the exact way

Weathered cliffs, aged bark and twisted branches
Spinning knowledge, wound with direction
Crawling forth, clawing mud stricken life
Emerging from struggle, opportunity and hardship

Take hold! Release…
Run. Slow. Repeat
Observe Left. Observe right
Never to return the exact way

New surface exterior lends a momentary restart
Simultaneously beating forward what once was
Grasping rough edges, feeling our way to the next ledge
Only to fall into our own pool of sweet freedom… Space and time

Take hold! Release…
Run. Slow. Repeat
Observe left. Observe right
Never to return the exact way
